The Centre for Microfluidic Systems is focused on the application of microfluidics in therapeutic molecule synthesis and tissue engineering and consists of three seamlessly integrated nodes:

  1. Flow-based Chemical Discovery and Synthesis (Departments of Chemistry, University of Toronto and York University)
  2. Microfluidic Synthesis Platforms, Sensors and Actuators (ECTI, University of Toronto)
  3. Microfluidic Tissue Culture and Screening Platforms (Microfluidics Foundry, University of Toronto)

Dedicated spaces for polymer device fabrication, automated perfusion cell culture and imaging in different modalities are currently being established.

Microfluidic Applications and Training in Cardiovascular Health (MATCH)

MATCH is an an innovative interdisciplinary graduate student training program at the University of Toronto and York University. It aims to equip its graduates with the skills required to lead the development of microfluidic technologies in industry and academia.
