The Centre for Microfluidic Systems is focused on the application of microfluidics in therapeutic molecule synthesis and tissue engineering and consists of three seamlessly integrated nodes:
- Flow-based Chemical Discovery and Synthesis (Departments of Chemistry, University of Toronto and York University)
- Microfluidic Synthesis Platforms, Sensors and Actuators (ECTI, University of Toronto)
- Microfluidic Tissue Culture and Screening Platforms (Microfluidics Foundry, University of Toronto)
Dedicated spaces for polymer device fabrication, automated perfusion cell culture and imaging in different modalities are currently being established.
